BBC Philharmonic to give world premiere of new work....

The BBC Philharmonic, conductor John Storgårds and soloist Roberto Giaccaglia to give the world premiere of Geoffrey Gordon's Anima Mia, a special commission from BBC Radio 3 (the work is co-commissioned by the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande), as part of their 2024-25 concert season. A symphonie concertante for bassoon and orchestra after the works of visionary Swiss artist H R Giger, Anima Mia will share the program with works from Arvo Pärt, Frank Martin and Edward Elgar - 30 Nov 2024 The Bridgewater Hall, Manchester, England.
