GORDON: Vermilion (US Premiere) International Trombone Festival

Trombonist Louise Pollock, principal trombone with the Gothenburg Opera since 2015, gives the US premiere of composer Geoffrey Gordon's Vermilion for tenor trombone and piano, also featuring pianist Mitchell Giambalvo, as part of the International Trombone Festival 2023, Dumke Recital Hall, Salt Lake City, Utah. 

Vermilion is inspired by the Henri Matisse painting L'Atelier aux poissons rouges (Studio with Goldfish), painted in the spring or summer of 1912, after returning to France from his first trip to Morocco.
