Lines Written in Early Spring (viola version)
22 Feb 2010
This is a live performance from the Museo Marino Marini, in Florence, Italy, of composer Geoffrey Gordon's chamber work, Lines Written in Early Spring, for flute, viola and piano. The performance dates from February 12, 2010, and features Luciano Tristaino, flute, Edoardo Rosadini, viola and Antonino Siringo, piano. The work, originally scored for flute, English horn and piano, draws inspiration from the first four lines of the Wordsworth poem: I heard a thousand blended notes, While in a grove I sate reclined, In that sweet mood when pleasant thoughts Bring sad thoughts to the mind. William Wordsworth, 1789
